Education

1. Be able to evaluate a student’s education and therapeutic goals
2. Provide corrective/learning experience for the students
3. Set and maintain consistent/constructive limits
4. Provide active support to students unable to remain in classroom setting
5. Set limits and manage behavior of students when needed. (This can require non-violent physical intervention)
6. Plan and participate in assigned activities
7. Provide support to the residences during transition prior to school each morning
8. Support the professional development of teacher assistants by providing guidance in the development of behavioral plans, mentoring and appropriate role modeling

1. Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in education preferred
2. Experience in Group Management of Children 8-18 years old
3. Good communicator and listener
4. Up tempo personality, assertive, outgoing and confident
5. Be able to listen to both sides of a situation and base any decision on a neutral understanding of the facts
6. Supervisory experience is a plus
