DESCRIPTION

Lower School, Middle School and Upper School Instructional Aide positions available. Be a positive role model and ensure the provision of the highest quality of services to the youth in our care by creating an environment which is safe, respectful and positive. Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree required; concentration in education preferred. Some teaching or tutoring experience required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Evaluate client behavioral function and progress, and develop appropriate goals and objectives.
  2. Serve as in-house substitute for absent teachers.
  3. Participate in the IEP process as required.
  4. Complete all paperwork including assessment reports, quarterlies, year-end reports and daily documentation as required and on time.
  5. Maintain an organized, neat and stimulating school space.
  6. Serve as a role model for clients at all times.
  7. Set and maintain consistent/constructive limits and provide corrective learning / processing experiences for clients.
  8. Communicate job related information effectively to team members.
  9. Actively participate in department meetings, treatment teams, quarterly conferences, IEP meetings, etc
  10. Attend all required orientations and training.
  11. Actively participate in and utilize supervision by bringing agenda items, setting goals, etc.
  12. Use and reassess behavior management systems for individual clients, combining firm limit setting, discipline and therapeutic non-violent physical intervention if needed.
